INYBCO - Irish National Youth Ballet Company

Mission:

To provide an opportunity for young Irish Ballet dancers, between the ages of ten and twenty one, to train as a company, with internationally trained teachers and visiting choreographers. An opportunity to train for a career on stage with twice yearly season of performances in professional theatres.

Key Issues:

To create a semi-professional Youth Ballet Company in Ireland.

To enable talented young Irish dancers to stay at home and receive world-class training. Many dancers who are trained abroad do not return to Ireland and are rarely seen on Irish stages.

To develop and maintain the highest artistic standards.

To reach as many young Ballet dancers as possible in Ireland.
In Dublin - by continuous promotion of the Company through dance schools, dance colleges and any dance resource materials.
Throughout the rest of Ireland - by establishing, where possible, performance Centres in the country cities and towns. Performances in Limerick, Cork, Dundalk and Belfast have already taken place.

Irish National Youth Ballet Company works in conjunction with the private dance teacher and is an advanced supplement to their private training. Irish National Youth Ballet Company makes all of its literature available to private Ballet teachers in Ireland and encourages them to send pupils for auditions.

Irish National Youth Ballet Company also aims to showcase the talents of Professional Irish Ballet dancers who have successful performance careers abroad. These dancers appear as guest artists in Irish National Youth Ballet performances.

Master classes with international teachers and visiting choreographers take place at the weekend. Pupils take lessons in an open International style in order to develop a higher level of performance quality.

Insure the continued growth and viability of the company through responsible administration and fiscal management.
