In May 2023 audtions were held for our 2023/24 seasson.
Once again our auditions hosted a record number of dancers with over 150 young people auditioning. Most of these were held in person over 2 days with a panel of 4 : Lindsay Ashe-Browne, Jane Magan, Kilian O’Callaghan and Rachel Ensor. The Stephen Brennan taught 7 audition classes for us over those days. We also had 5 video auditions.
The number of schools/teachers who now send dancers is over 80 from all counties of Ireland, making us a true all island organisation.
We offered 47 contracts out of which 45 were taken so we were able to take 2 more dancers off our reserve list. It is an immense task for the panel to chose these dancers each year and we are thankful to the huge numbers of teachers who support us in sending their dancers to us.
