In May 2023 audtions were held for our 2023/24 seasson in DanceHouse, Dublin 1.
Once again our auditions hosted a record number of dancers with over 150 young people auditioning in person and a few video submissions. Over a two day period dancers from all over the country auditioned before a panel of 4 : Lindsay Ashe-Browne, Jane Magan, Kilian O’Callaghan and Rachel Ensor, in 7 audition classes taught by Stephen Brennan.
The number of schools/teachers who now send dancers is over 80 from all counties of Ireland, making INYB a true all island youth dance company.
This year, 47 contracts were offered. It is an immense task for the panel to chose these dancers each year and we are thankful to the huge numbers of teachers who support us in sending their dancers to us.
